Who is Chris Bumstead?
Chris Bumstead was born in Ottawa, Canada in 1995.
Bumstead started lifting weights at the age of 14, and by 18 had gone from 170 to 225 pounds.
His sister’s boyfriend, Iain Valliere, also a bodybuilder, saw his potential and started to coach him.
Bumstead won the first bodybuilding show he competed in but didn’t make his official competitive debut until he turned 19.

He secured his IFBB pro card at the age of 21 after winning the IFBB North American Bodybuilding Championship.
During his first Mr Olympia in 2017, Bumstead came 2nd in the Classic Physique category and then again in 2018.
After returning in 2019, Bumstead finally clinched the title and then went on to win in 2020, 2021 and 2022.
In 2022, Bumstead changed his coach, opting for Hany Rambod, who has worked with several Mr Olympia champions including Jay Cutler, and Hadi Choopan.
Bumstead has monetised his bodybuilding success well.
He currently has tens of millions of followers across social media including more than 19 million on Instagram alone.
He regularly posts video content on YouTube, where he has more than 3 million subscribers.
Bumstead is part owner of Raw Nutrition – a supplement company based in Florida, USA.
He also has his clothing line – BUM, and is sponsored by the clothing brand, YoungLA.
Bumstead also has a personal training app – CBum Fitness.

Chris Bumstead has a net worth of $5 million.
At his first Mr Olympia contest, Bumstead made $7,000 for coming second.
He made another $7,000 after finishing 2nd the year after.
For his first and second Mr Olympia win, he won $30,000.
But in 2021, the competition increased the prize money to $50,000.
Bumstead earns around $50,000 a month from his YouTube channel, however, the majority of his wealth has come from his businesses, mainly his personal training app.
