Jess Hunt was born in 1996 in Plymouth, England.
Hunt started styling different outfits and makeup looks on Instagram while studying fashion at art college in Plymouth.
She soon started to build a following and collaborate with a number of different brands which have included Oh Polly, I Saw it First, White Fox Boutique and Boohoo.
She said: “It started off as a hobby for me and I feel so grateful to have been able to grow my Instagram and turn it into my full-time job.”

Hunt grew her following to north of 1 million on Instagram by 2020 and then launched makeup brand REFY alongside entrepreneur Jenna Meek.
Hunt and Meek met during a modeling shoot for hair brand, Shrine in 2019 and immediately hit it off.
Meek had founded Shrine in 2015.
During the shoot, Meek noticed Hunt’s lengthy eyebrow routine – which included two brow gels and four different brushes.
Hunt mentioned how she found it hard to find a product to create her ‘ideal brow look’ so the pair drew up what is now their award-winning brow-sculpting product.
Meek asked the factories she used for Shrine to manufacture a sample.
The pair invested £60,000 each into the brand and ran REFY as a side hustle, building the product out of hours and virtually for almost a year.
Meek’s team at Shrine helped with the first campaign shoot and product launch and they sold six months’ worth of stock in just six weeks.
Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber both posted about REFY on Instagram which helped catapult the brand.
Since 2020, the pair have sold more than 2.5 million products, including their viral Brow Sculpt and Lip Collection.
In June 2021, the brand was stocked in Sephora and sold 16 weeks worth of stock in just 72 hours.
REFY now employs more than 40 employees in Manchester, England.
