Who is Kyle Forgeard?
Kyle Forgeard was born on July 12, 1994, in Mississauga, Canada.
Best known for his Youtube video, Forgeard first started making videos at a young age.
In an interview from earlier this year, he explained how he first started experimenting with making short videos and uploading them to the internet while just 10 years old.
He said: “I’ve been making videos ever since I was young, grade 5, grade 6, just f***king around with a camera, making funny sh*t and even little short films and then just uploading them on Facebook.”

Admitting that the content of the videos would likely cause outrage among some if watched now, he added: “Honestly, if we found the Facebook ones I think I would be cancelled for sure.”
Eager to pursue a career in videography, Forgeard studied cinema at Ryerson University in Toronto after graduating high school.
However, he never finished his degree. Instead, the Canadian dropped out to focus on his YouTube channel Nelk, which he set up alongside Niko and Marko Martinovic, and Lucas Gasparini.
“Nelk is just a group of guys, doing stupid sh*t. People say we’re this generation’s JackAss which I would say is a huge compliment,” Forgeard has said about the content on the channel.
Nelk has almost 8 million subscribers on YouTube, and over one billion video views.
As the group’s success grew, they also set up a number of alternative YouTube channels, with 11 different spaces being a part of the Nelk group in total.
One of the channel’s most notorious videos came in 2015 when the group posted a video titled “Coke Prank On Cops”. The group told LA police that they had “coke” in the back of the car, only for the officers to find that they were carrying Coca-Cola, not cocaine.
It is the group’s most-watched video on YouTube.
However, Forgeard’s controversial videos led to YouTube limiting how much Nelk could monetise from individual posts.
In 2020, the entire Nelk account was banned from monetisation after it organised a flash mob of about 200 people on-campus at Illinois State University, breaking Covid lockdown restrictions.
YouTube’s decision forced Nelk to come up with alternative finance models in order to keep creating content on a full-time basis.
Forgeard and the other members of Nelk now make their money from a series of subsidiary brands such as the Full Send clothing brand, Happy Dad alcoholic water, and its Full Send Podcast.

Explaining the business model, Forgeard said in January 2023: “Everyone complains now ‘oh I don’t make money off YouTube’, but to me, that’s an old song and dance.
“We’ve been dealing with that for our whole career. So for me, that’s repetitive to hear now.
“But it was kind of a blessing in disguise because we had to get smart and kind of build businesses around our content in order to fund our operation.”
