Rohan Oza is the brain behind some of the most iconic brands in the consumer space and has been dubbed “Hollywood’s Brandfather”.

Who is Rohan Oza?

Rohan Oza was born in Zambia in 1971 but moved to England at a young age and went to Harrow School.

He graduated with a degree in manufacturing and industrial engineering from Nottingham University before receiving an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Oza started his career in Slough, England as the manufacturing manager for Mars’ M&M’s.

He later joined The Coca-Cola Company as a marketing manager before leaving in 2002 to join Glacéau, most famous for their brands Vitaminwater and Smartwater.

Oza was the mastermind behind the marketing campaigns which built these consumer brands into global powerhouses through partnerships with celebrities such as LeBron James, Tom Brady and Jennifer Aniston.

In 2007, The Coca-Cola Company purchased Glacéau for $4.1 billion and Oza was appointed Chief Marketing Officer of Coke’s still brands.

Oza left The Coca-Cola Company again in 2009 to start his own venture capital fund.

In 2016, he co-founded CAVU Venture Partners which has quickly become one of the fastest-growing venture funds in the consumer packaged goods space.

By continuing to use his ability to identify the brands of tomorrow, Oza has helped to grow Chef’s Cut Real Jerky (the fastest-growing jerky in the USA), Bai Brands (sold to DPSG for $1.7 billion in 2017), Sir Kensington’s (sold to Unilever in 2017), Vita Coco, Popchips, Flywheel Spinning Studios and WTRMLN WTR.

Under Oza, WTRMLN WTR had a partnership with Beyoncé, Bai joined forces with Justin Timberlake, and Vita Coco partnered up with Madonna, to name a few.

Oza has also been a guest judge on the TV show Shark Tank.

Rohan Oza has an estimated net worth of $200 million.

Oza has a number of philanthropic endeavours but is very active with the Children Matter NGO, a partnership between The Starkey Hearing Foundation and Matter Organization, which focuses on providing hearing implants, food and medical equipment to underprivileged children in Africa.

Oza hosts an annual gala which has raised over $1 million in the last two years.
