Carl Runefelt was born in 1994, in Sweden.
He came across Bitcoin in 2018 while researching ways to make money to escape his job as a cashier at a grocery store.
Runefelt said: “I was working at a groceries store in Sweden. I wasn’t very happy with my life, I thought it was a bit boring. I felt that I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to do.”
He soon started making educational YouTube videos about cryptocurrency and began making money from sponsorships and affiliate deals.

He was soon making thousands of dollars a month through YouTube and invested his earnings back in cryptocurrencies.
Runefelt has nearly 1 million subscribers on his YouTube channels @TheMoon and @Carl.
In early 2021, Runefelt founded the cryptocurrency investment firm TheMoon Group.
TheMoon Group’s mission is to “encourage and facilitate mass participation in blockchain and Web3.
“Our aim is to enable early stage founders to build the future of crypto by investing in brilliant ideas.
“Our current investments range from artificial intelligence, blockchain gaming, software development, marketing, investments, payments and recruitment in the Web3 space.”
Runefelt also founded cryptojobs.com, a cryptocurrency and Web 3 jobs board.
Runefelt said: “I’ve personally invested in almost 400 crypto startups because I am extremely confident that crypto will dominate the world in the future.
“It may take another decade before we see mass adoption, which means that there is still a unique opportunity to ‘get in early,’ and invest in many of those companies that will be a dominant factor in the world in the future.
“That’s why I have invested and co-founded multiple crypto entities; for me, it’s not enough to only bet my net worth, but my whole being is a big bet on crypto. I’m all in.”
