Ben and Joe Gallagher appeared on Dragon's Den and persuaded Steven Bartlett to invest £100,000 ($125,000) for 3 per cent of their business

Ben and Joe Gallagher founded Luxe Collective – who sell pre-owned luxury goods online.

But what is the story behind the two brothers from Liverpool who secured £100,000 ($125,000) from Steven Bartlett on Dragons’ Den and what is their net worth?

Who are Ben and Joe Gallagher?

BenGallagher, born in 2000 and Joe Gallagher born in 1995 grew up in the affluent British town of Formby, near Liverpool.

But unlike the majority of their friends, they didn’t come from a wealthy background.

From a young age, the brothers bought and sold everything they could get their hands on from candles to clothes in order to make extra money.

After stumbling across an online luxury resale site, they saw an opportunity to take their side hustle to the next level.

The Gallaghers founded Luxe Collective in January 2018, when Ben was 17 and Joe was 21.

The duo opened a small store in Liverpool where customers could go to sell luxury bags, accessories and shoes.

They were authenticated and then resold online or in person.

But then the pandemic hit and the world was forced into lockdown.

The pair quickly moved away from their physical store, invested in their website and started receiving pre-owned luxury items by post.

During the pandemic, they doubled down on their TikTok and Instagram.

Ben struck gold when he started posting fashion content – from designer biographies to show reviews – under the @luxecollective handle.

His ninth video, which was a tutorial on how to lace Alexander McQueen shoes, reached 700,000 people in the first hour.

Another video, a brief biography of Karl Lagerfeld, reached 16 million people and gained almost 2 million likes.

The brand now has over 1 million followers on TikTok alone.

In 2024, the Gallaghers appeared on Dragon’s Den and persuaded Steven Bartlett to invest £100,000 ($125,000) in return for 3 per cent of their business.

What is Ben and Joe Gallagher’s net worth?

Luxe Collective is valued at approximately £5 million ($6.5 million) meaning Ben and Joe Gallagher are each worth £2.5 million ($3 million).
